Fly High...
TRIBUTE TO OURMAMASTORE BY JUSTINN

To say Our Mama Store is merely another store is an understatement. People can say all they want, because ultimately opinions don't hold much strength. Actions do. Ling and Rong are the team behind Our Mama Store, and also personal friends of mine. Yes, I can hear some far cry implying I am biased. Seriously, if your friends are producing results, why would you even think about bringing them down? There is a reason for praise, just like there is also one for criticism.

Ling and Rong form an inseparable chemistry. Perhaps 8 years of sisterhood (and counting) have contributed significantly to that. Honestly, I never visualised them as business partners before. Initially, I thought of Our Mama Store as simply a cooperation between two girls to develop new skills and gain life experience. But as the store gradually underwent changes, I began to see this partnership in a different light.

Of course, Ling and Rong were really enthusiastic, excited and chatty throughout the interview. They made the session a lot more enjoyable and memorable. Maybe because we are friends, and therefore we opted for casual. However, there was more depth than anything. Behind the laughter were patience, dedication, determination, love and unconditional goodwill. Every single effort put into the store is genuine and laid bare for the consumers to witness. At that instance, I thought : “This isn't merely another store or a cooperation.”

The entire interview was like a jigsaw puzzle or some intriguing mystery novel. Every word and statement had a connecting lead. By the end of it, I could see a bigger picture. Two pairs of growing wings gently but firmly fluttering behind the mamas' thoughts and intentions. You see, when you start something small, gradually along the way you would yearn for growth even if you haven't given much thought. For the mamas, they love and enjoy the experience out of running the store. But when asked about dreams and future goals, I could sense their excitement building up a notch. Our Mama Store may be young, but I foresee a great potential that could promise longevity. Honestly, the efforts Ling and Rong put in have gone beyond what most spree sites offer. If more time is on their side, I believe they would go even further to create a more memorable shopping experience for their customers. Our Mama Store is their precious baby afterall. What was meant to be just fun and experience has led to a new dimension. For some people, they would have set a limit just to keep the fun and experience element. For the mamas, what they have done has outlived those elements.

Even though I am not a customer, I don't need to be one to feel attached to the store. Whatever the mamas have done is enough to make me want to see the store grow. Now I see them with their pairs of wings, soaring in the air, and little by little they will reach the highest peak.

Keep up the efforts, mamas!
